This Lunar New Year marks the official transition out of the Year of the Ratbelieved. Seollal is a time for Koreans to return to their hometowns to pay respect to their ancestors, as well as catch up with family members. Many of you who are not coming from Asia might wonder what this holiday is. This year, Seollal falls on January 22 of the Gregorian calendar.
